Environmental Commitment
The wastewater treatment process is designed to remove contaminants similar to nature, but at a much more rapid pace.
The SEJPA works together with Southern California scientists, health and regulatory officials from over 65 different organizations to maintain a standard of high environmental quality. Protecting the environment for current residents and future generations is a top priority. During each regulatory permit cycle of five years, the SEJPA contributes approximately $100,000 to test the water quality, sediments and fish in our nearby ocean.
